How long does the casting session take?
The casting session will take approximately 30-60 minutes. This will give you the chance to relax and settle baby, we can also discuss all the options with you during this time.

What age should my child be?
Casting can be done at any age but we feel it is ideal for children under 12 months old.

Will it hurt?
No. The process is very gentle, the child's hand or foot is carefully encased in alginate which sets in approximately 30 seconds. Once set the alginate has a rubber feel to it and the hand or foot slips out easily leaving behind the mould. The alginate is non-toxic and any residue left on your child's skin can be removed easily with a baby wipe.

What finishing options do you have?
You choose the colour and frame from the options below.

Paint - You can choose from silver, gold or bronze.
Frame - We have Natural, Dark or Silver finish.
Frame size - Square, medium photo or large.
Plinth - Rectangle (light or dark wood) or circle (dark).
